Japanese Cedar (Sugi) 2 Inch Bead & Cove
Purpose-built as staves for a barrel sauna. Our Japanese Cedar (Sugi) 2-inch bead-and-cove profile pairs a rounded bead on one edge with a matching cove on the next board, so each stave pivots slightly against its neighbor and the run follows the barrel's curve instead of fighting it.

The tight bead-and-cove joint keeps steam and moisture from finding a path between staves even as the profile curves around the barrel, and Sugi's natural oils hold up well to the heat/humidity cycle a sauna puts lumber through. Available in 2x4 and 2x6, 6 to 12 feet.
