Clear grade Japanese Cedar (Sugi) 1-inch boards give you Sugi's light weight, fine grain, and natural durability with an essentially knot-free, straight-grained face — the premium tier of our Sugi 1-inch boards for feature-grade work where every board is on full display. Available in 1x4 and 1x6, 6 to 12 feet.

Clear grade means essentially no knots at all — a smooth, uniform, straight-grained appearance. It costs more than our standard Sugi grade because far less of each log qualifies. Don't need a fully knot-free face? Our standard Sugi 1-inch plank has the same durability at a friendlier price.
